“Pagando un poco mas tienes mayor calidad”
The staff were incredibly attentive, truly the best. I enjoy camping, so I get that a hostel isn’t a hotel; the room felt like a “rat hole,” with a new bug each day on the floor, in the bed, or in my backpack. The staircase was a climb and the hallway was very narrow. The locker was a low drawer that couldn’t fit my backpack (mine was broken; I was lucky another was free, but you couldn’t use your own lock). The bed was very wide, that’s for sure. The cherry on top: the Moon Bar is apparently the after‑party for Port Barton, and it’s inside the hostel! The hostel basically belongs to the bar. If you like staying up late, it’s your spot. In the morning they’re already playing drums, and until 1 or 2 a.m. they do a hippie show that’s cool but makes a lot of noise. Then a club runs until about 4 a.m. It’s not bad because it’s cheap (I’m from El Nido, which is much pricier), but for a few more pesos you get something four times better, no doubt.
