We were traveling by car, so the free parking right outside the hotel was a key factor. The restaurant below the hotel was very good, and the location right next to Kinugawaonsen station was also excellent. The beds were cozy, though simple. The shower water was warm and steady. The room was very basic but adequate for a few days. On arrival, we had to kill a bug in the room. Towels got wet very quickly and were never changed during our 3‑day, 2‑night stay. The guest slippers were worn out and could use replacement. The bathroom was clean, but the shower didn't work properly; after a few minutes you end up standing in about two centimeters of water that slowly drains when you turn the tap off.

A lovely spot, about twenty minutes by car from Nikko. The hostesses were very friendly, check‑in was quick and self‑service. Rooms are a bit small, just the right size beds, clean and functional. The restaurant below, run by the hostesses, is fantastic—small but charming, and we stayed for dinner and ate wonderfully. Highly recommended. The downside: two of the four beds were not very comfortable and there’s little space for luggage, so it’s fine for a day or two.

The explanations were thorough and the staff kindly clarified any unclear points. The only issue was mold in a corner of the room.
