“Strookt niet met de realiteit…”
The location is good. The lack of quality is a problem; it looks nice but everything is of awful quality. Travelers will have to pay for the costs and the shortcomings.
“Alexander en team hebben alles goed geregeld!”
The place was clean and nicely finished, but it was unclear through Booking whether the cottages had air conditioning or not, so you have to specify that yourself.
The staff were very friendly and always found a solution right away, especially when we discovered the cottage had no air conditioning; the next day we could move to a unit with air conditioning at no extra cost. However, we had requested an air‑co cottage via Booking, yet not all cottages have air conditioning, which apparently isn’t included by default; Booking and the resort should coordinate better.
“Fijn huisje en mooi park, maar helaas komen wij niet meer terug”
We stayed in a four‑person cottage with two adults, a baby and two dogs, and the space was just right for our family; a larger group would find it a bit tight, but it works well for young kids. Highlights included a spacious shower and decent bathroom, comfortable mattresses that weren’t too firm or too soft, nice indoor and outdoor seating, a well‑equipped kitchen with Siemens appliances (microwave/oven combo, fridge with freezer, dishwasher), a smart TV with Netflix, and a beautiful park that leads straight to a seaside promenade. The village centre is about a 15‑minute walk away – tiny but fine for a short stroll. Late check‑in was possible and the AI chatbot answered quick questions like towel counts. The biggest drawback was the smoke from the wood‑heated hot tubs scattered around the park; although our cottage didn’t have one, the smoke drifted to us, filling the interior with a strong fire‑like odor that made it impossible to open windows without letting the smell back in, and it lingered on our belongings and clothes. With a baby, this was especially unpleasant and the main reason we won’t return, despite liking the cottage and the park overall. Another issue was that almost every extra service carried an additional fee, so costs could add up, and air‑conditioning wasn’t standard and had to be booked separately. Being on the edge of the park, we heard noisy children from a nearby scouting group in the mornings and afternoons; it wasn’t a deal‑breaker but worth noting. Other edge cottages sit by a road or an industrial building. Privacy turned out better than expected – we only needed to close one curtain and were otherwise fine.
“Mooi huisje op een toplocatie!”
The cottage was tidy and comfortable, with a great look and feel, and the air conditioning was a real plus during these warm days.
