“Good location- basic accomodation. Staff could do better”

The location was good, but the mosquito nets had holes, the bathroom door wouldn’t lock properly, and there was only one electrical socket. Water was cut off and we only had salty water for one night; we weren’t told or updated about this. The staff seemed totally uninterested in talking to us. When I asked about surf lessons, they were vague and didn’t follow up. I requested laundry service and they charged 900 rupee per kilo, while up the road we paid 350 per kilo.

We really enjoyed it and ended up staying four nights instead of three. The first night there was a booking problem, but they helped us and offered a temporary room, which was very kind. All the huts have small terraces, giving a great vibe. Outside there are also deck chairs, tables, and hammocks, so it’s perfect for relaxing. It’s right on the beach and in the center, so the location is ideal. The huts are spacious, clean, and very nice—highly recommended! We also took a surf lesson on our first day. The only issue was a nearby mosque that holds a prayer at 5 am and plays it loudly over the city; we woke up every night, though we fell back asleep afterward. Since it’s citywide, I suspect you’ll hear it at other accommodations as well, which is beyond their control.

“A beautiful location and peaceful setting.”

The location is great and the staff were friendly; the beds were comfortable and the air‑con was appreciated, and a grocery shop nearby supplies water and food. The rooms could use better fresh‑air ventilation and the shower often got blocked.

“Schöne Unterkunft am Strand ◡̈”

We highly recommend this place; the rooms and bathrooms were clean, equipped with a mosquito net and air‑conditioning, and it sits almost directly on the beach, though the beach view is now blocked by a hotel built in front. We didn't have breakfast because it was off‑season, but many cafés and restaurants are nearby. The host arranged a fantastic surf lesson at a great price, and a few beach bars are within walking distance.

“Geweldige plek!”

We happened to be here when one of us fell very ill; the staff did everything they could to take great care of us (bringing dinner, calling the hospital, etc.), which shows how kind they are, along with lovely cabins and a beautiful garden, and we also had excellent surf lessons from the manager’s brother.
