“Authentisch aber unflexibel”
The garden was pretty, and we were allowed to take photos after 10 pm when the guests had already checked out. An older gentleman at the reception was quite inflexible and grumpy, whereas the other staff were at least polite and friendly. My girlfriend asked if it would be a problem to use the bathroom because she has tattoos; a kind staff member told her it was fine. The older man chased her and told her to use only the small 4‑person bathroom, which was usually closed. The breakfast was very authentic, so expect a lot of fish. My girlfriend and I are vegetarian and forgot to mention that; the request for a vegetarian breakfast was not well received. Even our friends who ate fish had trouble with the breakfast. When we asked for breakfast a bit later, the reception reluctantly agreed to 8:30 am. When we requested a taxi at departure, they only ordered one, even though we warned them about our luggage and they could see how much we had. The taxi company promised to handle it, but they didn’t. We ended up ordering a second taxi ourselves. Our beds were freshly made each day, but sometimes they didn’t actually make the beds; they just laid the sheets down. We were four people and struggled with space, so we had to put the four mattresses on the floor and rearrange them to make room for our luggage. They would then fold the mattresses back together again. For groups, it’s more troublesome, especially when more than two people share a room.
