The bath was great and the meals were tasty, but the hallway noises at night echoed through the corridor and kept me from sleeping for a while.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in Japan. The view is great, the rooms are large with a traditional feel, the hot springs on the roof are fantastic, and the location is near some of the best spots to visit in the area. The countryside setting means there are more local tourists than foreign ones, which is a plus. Breakfast is perfect and can accommodate even picky foreign eaters. The hotel has its age, but despite that it offers everything you may need and more. Definitely visit the hot springs: a real blessing. The area has many natural spots to visit, but it can get tricky to move around without a car. The steep uphill road to the hotel, followed by stairs, and the lack of public transportation that takes you close to the hotel from the station mean you will either need a car or a taxi to move around the area a lot. Aside from that, everything is perfect.

The view bath offers the best view of Mount Fuji! The breakfast is also incredibly delicious. The uphill slope is tough.

The open‑air bath offered a great view that felt wonderful, and the breakfast combined Japanese and Western dishes so luxuriously that finishing it felt like a waste. The hotel’s atmosphere was calm, and I could even see Mt Fuji from my room, which was a real highlight. The parking attendant guided me kindly, providing very helpful assistance.
