“Great location for one night whilst walking the King Charles 111 coast path.”
The location was great, and the room was clean, well‑equipped, and in good order. Nothing else to add.
“Not what we expected”
The room was lovely, comfortable, and nicely furnished with thoughtful touches, and the location was great. Breakfast at The Driftwood was fantastic. However, a lingering fire smell was present in the hallway and outside, and we had to wait to check in. The owner’s welcome felt a bit rude. We were also disappointed by the late notice that breakfast would be served elsewhere because the kitchen below had burned out, and we couldn’t cancel. We were lucky to park for free on the quay nearby, but most parking costs from 8 am to 6 pm.
“Lovely comfortable room, great breakfast and lovely location”
The location is great, and the modern room with a large bathroom is lovely. The only parking option is a public car park that requires payment, which is fine if you’re out all day.
“A lovely pub with rooms”
We stayed at a charming pub‑hotel in a lovely town; the rooms were beautifully decorated and fully equipped. Unfortunately, the pub itself was closed during our visit because of a fire, but they arranged a tasty breakfast at a nearby café, which we appreciated. We hope to return once the pub reopens and wish them luck with the restoration.
“Lovely room in a lovely location”
We had a wonderful stay on a quiet street overlooking a small harbor. The room was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and well equipped, with interesting books, a radio, a great shower, and towel origami in the large bathroom. The owners were friendly and responsive. Even though a recent kitchen fire closed the Inn, the rooms are still operating well. Breakfast was served at the nearby Driftwood café, which was also excellent. Plenty of pubs, cafés, and a good fish‑and‑chip shop are nearby, and no seagulls bothered us. There was some initial confusion about whether the rooms were open because the website’s popup suggested everything was closed, so a clearer message would help.
