The surroundings are beautiful, the heating was excellent for the cold weather, and Don Ricardo was very friendly. I found the three beds’ mattresses weren’t very comfortable and I wish a hair‑dryer had been provided. Other than that, everything was well equipped and worked fine.

The location is superb, with a partial lake view, just meters from Avenida Bustillos, ten blocks from Cerro Otto and its rotating candy shop, and roughly halfway between the civic centre and Colonia Suiza. The cabin itself is lovely, but the kitchen feels a bit cramped for five people even though it’s well stocked.

I was thoroughly impressed with the location of our cabin, as it offered breathtaking views of the lake. However, one drawback was the bathroom, which lacked a window and consequently accumulated a lot of humidity within the cabin.

While the cabin's location was a major plus, I was disappointed with the state of the kitchen, which lacked essential utensils and was in need of a good cleaning. Additionally, the bedding was stained, and we encountered issues with a faulty mattress that wasn't replaced without any hassle. The overall maintenance of the property was subpar, but the cabin itself was lovely and well-situated. Thankfully, the staff member we interacted with was friendly and attentive.
