The two‑meal plan was cheap and the proximity to Karuizawa Tarascen and Super Tsuruya was convenient. I arrived around 18:30 and rushed to dinner, only to find the food already running low; I hoped they'd add more later, but nothing appeared before I left.
“部屋がカビ臭いが金額相応とも言える”
The location and the nearby local supermarket “Tsuruya” were definite pluses, and the new wing with the large public bath felt clean and the onsen was pleasant, plus the rates were lower than most inns and hotels. The old wing, however, reeked of mold to the point where breathing felt uncomfortable, and you could hear street noise, footsteps and vibrations from the floor above, giving the whole place an unmistakably shabby, outdated feel.
“良かったです!”
I was pleasantly surprised by the value for money this hotel offered, with good facilities at a reasonable price. However, I wasn't too fond of having to go outside to get to the dining area. It would have been more convenient if it were indoors.
“飲み放題 食べ放題 最高でした9(^‿^)۶”
It felt refreshingly Karuizawa‑like, like staying at a camp, and left me feeling rejuvenated.
“コスパ良し”
I chose this hotel because it had a hot spring and was conveniently located near a supermarket. The large bath was a highlight of my stay, and I really enjoyed relaxing there. However, I did wish my room had a kettle, and the hallway to the drinking fountain was quite chilly.
