The staff were very friendly, even towards our small dog, and the food in the Mauritian dining room was fantastic.

“Sehr gutes Hotel direkt gegenüber von Bahnhof. Alles Bestens.”

We stayed in a room on the fifth floor that was modern with a lovely bathroom featuring a shower; breakfast was excellent, with everything we could want, and the service was attentive and friendly. At the reception, every question was met with a helpful and detailed answer. All was perfect, and I would come back again.

Opposite station Good choice at breakfast. The bathroom had a corner bath which looked very slippery. It was not obvious how to climb in safely. There were no grab rails. The shower was worked by an attachment which could be pulled up and hooked, just about reachable from outside the bath. I told the reception clerk that I thought it was dangerous. She said they had no shower mats. She also said they had no alternative room with a safer shower (200-bed hotel). She said there was no food available as it was a Sunday and directed me to a restauant next door which was overcrowded, they let me sit on a bar stool. She asked me to choose between 7, 8.30 and 10 for breakfast. I would not expect any of the foregoing in a hotel of that size and class. After an unhappy night I told the member of staff then on reception I wanted to leave and explained my safety concerns. She declined a refund in a snappy way but did not charge for breakfast

“Wunderschöne Tage im Hotel verbracht.”

The view, the friendly staff, the breakfast, and the superb bathroom were all great. Everything was fine.

“Super! Es hat mir sehr gut gefallen”

The breakfast was amazing! The only downside was the heavy keys that you always have to hand back when leaving the hotel.
