The property was lovely, very clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect—everything was within walking distance. The room had A/C, a fridge, hot water, and strong Wi‑Fi. Rebecca was incredibly nice and helpful!

The Lighthouse Studio feels very peaceful. The room is spacious, comfortable, and very clean, and it includes a small kitchen with everything needed for simple meals. The owner’s kindness stood out; she was incredibly attentive throughout my stay, regularly checking that everything was fine and always available whenever I needed anything. The only downside is the location: it takes about 25 minutes to walk to the city centre, and there are many free‑roaming dogs along the way, which can make the walk uncomfortable, especially after dark. The owner kindly offered to drive me into town and pick me up again free of charge whenever I needed it. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and felt extremely well looked after.

The room was very clean. Coffee, kettle, and milk were provided, and the kitchen had a stove, fridge, microwave, cutlery, etc. The big balcony had a table, chairs, and a clothesline, and the hot water pressure was really good. The owner was super friendly and helpful, even helping us hire a car that cost 80 TOP per day and was dropped off at the accommodation. We could pay by card, but like most places in Tonga there is a 4 % surcharge for foreign cards. We opted to use the ATM, which didn’t give us a very good rate and charged fees as well, so we didn’t end up any better off. In hindsight, we would have been better off changing all our spending money in NZ before coming out. It’s an easy 15‑minute walk into town, and we found it was worth having a car to explore the island. Would stay again if we came back to Tonga.
