I had a wonderful experience in an exceptional, tranquil natural setting; the reception was warm and family‑like, the rooms were simple yet comfortable, and the on‑site restaurant was a real bonus with good cuisine. This authentic address is perfect for recharging and exploring the Snæfellsnes peninsula. We had stayed there in 2020 and returned this year with pleasure, and we will come back again.

The hotel is amazing, the staff were great, and the evening meal was superb. The rooms are wooden and beautifully furnished; the remote location is ideal if you’re lucky enough to see the Northern Lights, which we did. Breakfast was also great, and hot drinks were available all night for free, which was a nice touch. There is a lovely balcony/terrace area outside the restaurant. The locks on the doors were a bit iffy and one of our rooms locked us out, which was a shame, but help was quickly arranged and the issue resolved; everything else was perfect.
