The large three‑bedroom house with two bathrooms left some rooms unused because we only needed two; check‑in and check‑out were easy, the surroundings were beautiful and the location convenient after a visit to De Hoop Reserve, the beds were comfortable, we stayed only a short time and saw no wildlife except birds, but overall it’s a lovely spot. The only issue was that no bath towels were provided when we arrived that evening—an oversight? We had microfiber towels, so we used our own, which wasn’t a big deal.

What a unique place and a real highlight of our holiday – the seclusion and peace were fantastic and exciting. The house is huge and perfect for families of up to six, with flawless facilities, and the fire‑pit ambience under the starry sky felt like a dream. We used it as a base for a trip to De Hoop Nature Reserve, and at night we actually saw zebras at the far end of the property.

The house is spacious, comfortable and sits in a superb spot, especially in summer. We visited in winter and it was quite cold; only one heater worked, leaving us chilly, and two rooms had no light despite informing the host. She came to try fixing it but couldn’t, so the stay would have been much more comfortable if the heaters had functioned.

The farm is peaceful and relaxing, with animals freely roaming around, which adds to the unique charm of the property. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, and the views from every window are simply beautiful. A good place to unwind and enjoy the countryside. However, there were a significant number of flies that affected our comfort, the furniture looked tired and could use an update, and basic amenities were limited with no shampoo and only a very small amount of body wash.
