The rooms were cozy and spotless, and breakfast was top‑notch. The only downside was that the on‑site restaurant shuts down on Sunday evenings. It’s a bit out of town from Orange’s center, but that’s fine if you’re heading to Lamanai.

Everyone in the group called this the best hotel on the trip. The rooms are tucked right into the jungle and the staff are friendly around the clock. The only hiccup is that you have to arrange transport if you want to eat outside the town.

The place is surrounded by greenery, with huge rooms and comfy beds. Breakfast is plenty. The only annoyance is that it’s far from the city center, so you’ll need a car to get to dinner.

The rooms were nicely decorated, comfortable, and the AC and fans worked well. We could grab the Lamanai boat right from the property dock, and the two staff members were very friendly and quick to respond on WhatsApp. The only drawbacks were the location – you need a car to get around – and some plumbing hiccups with the shower and sink, plus the place felt a bit empty during the low season while they were rebuilding after a fire.

The manager was very personable and went the extra mile for us, but the old building needs a lot of updates, especially hot water. We had to wait over 30 minutes for a room with kids, and the master key that controls AC and lights kept flickering, so they had to move us to another room.
