“Adequate for the place to stay for our visit.”
The breakfasts were plentiful and tasty, though I would have liked the suite that had an attached bathroom.

Even though the exterior was still under construction, the interior was stunning, with lush period décor, soft carpeting, stylish furniture, designer wallpaper, and intriguing art. The bed was very comfortable and the room was beautifully furnished. The hosts kindly supplied toiletries when needed and were warm, chatty, and accommodating, asking about room preferences and dietary restrictions. Breakfast was served on fine china along a counter and included fruits, scones, grains, dairy, condiments, hot breads, and freshly whipped cream; the quiche and berry galette straight from the oven were award‑winning. The hosts also gave five directions to the property and noted the somewhat hidden entrance, so we stayed alert but found no trouble; a balloon, sign, or reflective marker at the entrance would have made the driveway easier to spot at night.

Morning meals were fantastic, and chatting with the hosts added to the experience. The location offered easy access to local attractions while remaining separate from the nearby larger town, making it a worthwhile stop. The building’s interior was well restored, preserving original materials where possible, and the ongoing renovation was clearly understood and didn’t detract from the stay; it even sparked conversation. I’ll definitely come back if circumstances allow. It would be nice to have a place to store shoes on the porch.
