Bistare Kana, tucked near Annupuri and Moiwa ski areas, feels like a hidden gem. The rooms aren’t fancy but are comfortable and have ample storage. The shared bathrooms, shower rooms, and sinks are well kept, and there’s a coin‑operated washing machine and dryer on site. Yama‑san, the host, is fantastic and offers transport to the nearby slopes each morning. Every morning we’re treated to a hearty continental breakfast with Japanese touches and a weather update. The only downside is that if you don’t have a car, the shuttle buses can be frustrating—there’s usually only one bus per hour, and it can get very crowded. Otherwise, I have no complaints about the accommodation.

Breakfast was consistently great every morning, and the owner was very friendly and accommodating; I would highly recommend this place.

The owner was friendly and the meals were tasty. The shuttle bus stop is just 200 m away, and the owner drove me to the ski area in the morning. I received a hot‑spring discount voucher 200 m away and a 10 % discount voucher for Annupuri ski area. However, Annupuri is a bit remote, so there are few places to eat.
