“Overall, it was pleasant stay. Staff on duty were very responsive to our needs, always pleasant.”
Ladybird Hotel sits right in the heart of Sa Pa town centre, with a small park just across the street where you can sit and watch locals go about their day. The shopping and dining spots are all within arm’s reach. The shower water pressure was excellent and the bathroom was spacious. The room itself could comfortably hold four adults with plenty of room to move around. From our window we could see the stone church and Sun Plaza Station. Whenever we asked something, the staff answered quickly and were always pleasant, even helping us with our luggage. On the downside, the bathroom exhaust fan was weak and couldn’t dry the dampness from the shower, and the bidet leaked, leaving the floor next to the toilet constantly wet. The shower mat was tiny, more like a rug, so by the time the fourth adult finished showering it was all soaked and I had to wring it out. I couldn’t adjust the shower temperature; it was too hot and almost scalding. The dining room could use a touch of sprucing up; even off‑peak it looked like a dumping area, with a storage room just a table away from where guests ate. In the reception area, a heater was needed because it was 8 °C when we checked out and we had to wait for transport, feeling freezing cold.
