“Optisch ansprechende Zimmer, aber deutliche Mängel bei der Sauberkeit”
The double rooms and bathrooms were visually appealing and spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel manager’s conduct at departure was also a highlight: after we explained the issues, we received an apology and a small price reduction. We had originally booked an apartment that was completely unclean (dirty toilet, greasy finger on the fridge, untidy kitchen). After we complained, we were given two double rooms as a replacement, but as a family we had to sleep separately. Although the double rooms appeared clean at first glance, there were still problems: in one room the shower drain was clogged and had apparently not been thoroughly cleaned for a long time.

Everything was great: the bedding was clean, clearly allergen‑friendly, the mattresses were good, and the climate control was essential with 39 °C outside. The entrance to the hotel was not obvious to me at first, so more transparency is needed there. A major downside is that you can’t even drive a car up to unload; the parking decks are 4 min or 7 min away, and with two suitcases and clothes it’s a real challenge on the old‑town pavement. Perhaps the city administration could find a solution under the owner’s urging.
