The boat and the nearby guesthouse/restaurant were the absolute highlight of our trip to Egypt—clean, calm, with a stunning view that you just have to see to believe. It’s a perfect spot to watch wildlife, see the world go by, and explore the beautiful local area. The staff were helpful and friendly, not pushy, and they pointed out interesting off‑the‑beaten‑path activities. Kayaks were available for a very reasonable price, and we even paddled at sunrise up to the first cataract. The accommodation was spotless, with crisp white sheets, clean mattresses, amazing breakfast, and lovely people. Mr. David and I can’t wait to return. The place is so beautiful and serene that leaving is almost impossible—if you stay here, you’ll find it hard to leave.
