The 5‑bedroom villa was nice, and two families with three kids each had a great time. The garage entrance was too narrow, so larger cars had to park outside the house.

The location was great and the space was large and roomy, perfect for our big group, with plenty of plates and cutlery available. However, the water pressure upstairs was nonexistent; when the downstairs showers or laundry were in use, the upstairs showers wouldn’t work at all—no trickle, nothing—which was terrible for our group of nine, including five kids, who needed to shower and wash clothes in the evening.

The place was clean and warm, and the kitchen had everything we needed; the mid‑week cleaning was surprisingly thorough. A few maintenance issues were present: the shower mixer tap in the bathroom was stiff and hard to set to the right temperature, the extractor fan needed cleaning, and one dining chair had a sink and another had a broken back.

The heating was already on when we arrived, which was nice on a rainy day, and the property had a washer, dryer, decent‑smelling shampoo and body wash, plus a simple kitchen; it was also close to the city centre, Lake Wanaka and the ski lifts. However, the garage was far too small, forcing everyone to park outside, the kitchen only had tiny packets of salt and pepper with no cooking oil, the cookware was shabby, and the oven was greasy and not very clean, making it hard to prepare a decent meal.

The apartments are large enough for big families; the kids loved it. The only downside is the “find your apartment” map, which is the worst I’ve ever seen.
