The place was very clean, the bed and shower were super comfy, and the staff were friendly and approachable. The only issues were that the toilet seat was too small and breakfast was served from 11‑12, which felt too late. There was no restaurant on Sunday or Monday, but otherwise we had a lovely stay.

The bed was comfy and the bar staff who checked us in were lovely; the window views were great and free biscuits and tea were a nice touch. However, the bed runner and throw pillows had white stains, the shower didn’t run hot in the evening (but it was fine in the morning), there was clear water damage on a corner of the ceiling, and no remote was provided for the TV; we found an egg instead, which was funny but might not be for everyone.

The central location was good, but the room was over the pub bar, where music played until midnight and then loud chatter and laughing continued until 4.30am; drinking glasses were not clean, the milk was out of date, the toilet seat was loose, and it was the wrong size.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was small but clean and acceptable for the price; the bed was fine but the sheet was too small for the mattress. The experience was marred by very loud flushing toilets every few minutes and noisy kids hanging around outside, both of which persisted long after the pub was supposed to have closed.
