The room was roomy and well furnished; daily service was perfect with a nice turn‑down, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and of high quality.

Everything was basically fine, but the indoor pool had four lanes—a walking lane, a members‑only lane, a swimming lane and a splashing lane. I was forced onto the swimming lane where several swimmers were already in the water while the other lanes sat empty, which felt odd.

A very nice spot in Kyoto, close to the metro station and several major temples. The spa was good, but the outdoor pool could have been bigger.
