The hotel is just steps from the train station to Ella, which is very convenient (check the track condition and availability before you go). When paying the bill, I was told the payment terminal had been out of service for three days, so I asked why we hadn’t been informed earlier by a booking message or email; my surprise grew when I was invited to wait in the room for a solution, only to see the same receptionist knock on the door with a perfectly working payment terminal.

The rooms were spacious and clean, the city views were lovely, the rooftop restaurant was great, and a special shout‑out to the gentleman who served our breakfasts—he was very friendly and had fantastic service.

The hotel is a short walk from the city centre, with a few local eateries nearby—though they speak little English, they’re willing to try. The view from the windows overlooks half the city, and the rooftop restaurant is excellent.
