A paradise for relaxing. Even though the drive to this idyll is slow, the view, peace, comfort, facilities, and staff friendliness make up for the bumpy path. We got the best breakfast on our three‑week tour here. Calm and recovery are guaranteed.

Our short stay at this exceptional, luxurious bed‑and‑breakfast was truly memorable—a peaceful oasis with stunning forest and ocean views. Hosts Eva and Markus were warm, friendly, and helpful from the moment we booked through the conversations we shared during our visit. The written description matches reality, and the many excellent reviews from past guests are spot on. We stayed in a separate casita that was very comfortable, beautifully decorated, thoughtfully equipped, clean, and quiet. As many reviews mention, the breakfasts are incredible, expertly prepared, and beautifully presented. It’s definitely on our list of places to stay again. The stay was far too brief.

From the moment we arrived, Eva greeted us warmly, took her time, and made us feel comfortable right away. Palmetto Lodge is a wonderful retreat: surrounded by impressive nature, you can fully unwind, let your soul rest, and recharge. The casitas are stylish, spacious, and lovingly detailed—modern and very clean. The breakfast was an absolute highlight: lovingly prepared with homemade yogurt, fine jams, and fresh bread—simply delicious. The hosts are attentive and create an atmosphere where you feel completely at ease. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would gladly return. Thank you for this beautiful break!

We felt completely welcomed at Palmetto Lodge, from the friendly check‑in where we were offered a welcome drink to Eva’s constant help and professionalism throughout our stay – you can tell she loves being a host. The room was spotless, modern and lovingly maintained, with an unusually large and comfy bed for Costa Rica, a quiet atmosphere and a fantastic bathroom where the shower was simply amazing; everything matched the photos, if not exceeded them. Breakfast was a real highlight, featuring homemade jams, fresh baked bread and delicious cake, all prepared with obvious care and tasting superb. Eva’s warm, attentive and dedicated service made the experience feel truly special, and the sunsets from the pool deck plus the ocean view were priceless. On our departure day we left before the official breakfast hours and Eva even gave us a generous lunch package the night before – thanks again! For getting there we’d suggest an SUV with good ground clearance, or even a 4x4; we managed with a Nissan Kicks and a lot of patience. I would book this place again without hesitation and recommend it wholeheartedly.
