“NON PRENOTATE ATTRAVERSO BOOKING”
The hotel is in a perfect spot in the center of Setif, just a stone’s throw from the shopping center, the amusement park and the main street. The rooms are spacious and clean, as are the common areas. Breakfast isn’t huge, but it’s well prepared. A big plus is the ability to pay with a credit card. The hotel director is very courteous, professional and helpful, but the reception staff are rather rushed and blunt, they don’t greet or smile: we were very disappointed by their behavior, especially since Algerians in general—unlike them—are very friendly and sociable. As already mentioned in other reviews, the big problem with this hotel is that there is no connection between the hotel and Booking, as the kind director confirmed. We booked through Booking, but the reservation did not appear at the hotel. It’s paradoxical that Booking allows the reservation and gives the hotel visibility, yet the reservation turns out nonexistent. So it is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to book directly with the hotel, NOT THROUGH BOOKING. However, it’s quite hard to communicate with the hotel: we only received a response via Facebook. Also, it’s essential to book in advance because the hotel is often full. Booking’s assistance in handling the reservation issue was zero: it’s truly shameful that Booking’s customer service limits itself to automatic messages. The reception staff are quite rude and uncooperative: a real pity for a property of this level.
