“Decent people but not what's advertised”
It was close to the airport and they brought me in on short notice, but this isn’t a hostel; it’s someone renting out their little sister’s bottom bunk in their apartment, which was far from what was advertised. I was kept up half the night by loud kitchen chatter, slammed doors, video calls from the bunk above, and bedroom lights turning on while I tried to sleep. The shower ran out of hot water halfway through, and a bed spring poked through the mattress, digging into me and tearing my trousers open. All of this for £48 was not what was promised. I don’t want to criticize people who are trying to earn money by renting a bed, but it was definitely not what was advertised, and I don’t want others to think it is. People should know what they’re getting into. I also feel bad for the little sister who had to let strangers sleep on her bottom bunk, and I don’t think it’s safe for her.
