“Hotel Spa Varshehst”
The open pool is fantastic and the pictures are gorgeous. The surroundings, nature, and overall site are impressive. The spa centre is great and the water is medicinal. We had a half‑board plan that offered a wide variety of dishes, delicious cooking, and portions that were just right. The hotel’s reception didn’t provide complete information, so we ran out of towels for the open pool. One of the massage therapists charged extra for the two types of massage I booked, performed the same massage without much rubbing, and it was awful. I didn’t like it at all; it felt like she was just applying oil to my body. The more experienced therapist was very professional, but the other wasn’t 😔

We loved how pleasant the hotel was, sitting in a superb central spot. Our room felt spacious, spotless and well kept, and having extra blankets on hand was a nice touch. The staff were remarkably courteous and helpful. The SPA centre impressed us, and I must thank the masseuse—she was incredibly kind, attentive and professional. 😊 The restaurant’s food was tasty as well. Overall we enjoyed three wonderful days and left very satisfied, and we’d gladly come back. My only gripe was the outdoor pool water, which sat around 26 °C—too chilly for me even though the air was about 32 °C. The water itself was clean and well maintained.

If you’re planning a visit or a getaway in Vršec, I’d recommend the Medicus hotel. It’s clean, cozy, the spa area is excellent, the outdoor pool is large and well maintained, the food is varied, and the breakfast pastries are magical 😀
The hotel’s location makes it easy to visit many nice spots like Kom Berkovitsa peak, Panchevtsi, and other nearby attractions. The parking is far from the hotel entrance.
