It’s an absolute gem of a place. I managed to get a room with very short notice for my son who was travelling the isles. Vanessa the owner treated him like one of her own with warmth and care. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was superb and plentiful and he was able to store his bags and use the lounge until the ferry back to the mainland. I would thoroughly recommend it and we look forward to a return visit 😊

Easy walk to town. Large rooms and helpful staff and a great breakfast. We stayed in an attic room with spiral stairs a bit of a challenge with heavy bags. Although help was offered. Great views countered the stairs.

The location was great and everything looked lovely—no matter which way I walked, I ended up at Alder Lodge Guest House ❤️
