“Fantástico!”
The space and location are precious, the peace the house gives with the sound of water falling throughout the estate, and the lush vegetation. The room was a bit small and one of the mattresses was very old (caved).

The place’s location by the river is unbeatable, where you can have coffee listening to the water’s sound. The large outdoor facilities are very inspiring and the house inside is very comfortable. The volunteers Julia and Thean made the place even more magical. And communication with Markus at all times was exceptional. There was nothing that I didn’t like.

I admit we were partly to blame: we booked via Booking without reading the description carefully. We thought we were going to spend a quiet night in a rural house near Zahara de la Sierra and discovered that, in fact, we had booked a kind of spiritual retreat in the middle of nature. 😂 As soon as we arrived, we parked the car, walked a little and met our first and practically only host: a charming dog who greeted us with affectionate barking and accompanied us to the door. Honestly, it was the most attentive staff member we found during the whole stay. 😂 The surroundings are beautiful: fountains, vegetation, a stream, hammocks, meditation areas, snack spots, spring water… Everything conveys peace, harmony and good vibes. So much peace that we even started to wonder if we would wake up vegetarian the next day. Upon arrival at the door we received instructions via WhatsApp: shoes stay outside and you must put on the accommodation’s slippers. I understand it’s to leave bad energies at the door… but seeing that the slippers are shared by guests, maybe we should also leave some mushrooms outside. 😅 The room was nice, rustic and cozy, although we missed something as unspiritual as a lock inside. At night I thought: “Well, if a psychopath enters, at least he will have to respect silence and take off his shoes before entering.” 😂 The bathroom is shared and, apparently, you have to wait patiently for it to be free. For eight rooms and a single bathroom, that can turn into a kind of Big Brother version of Zahara de la Sierra. There is also a kitchen and lounge, and the place’s philosophy is clearly about sharing and living together. The food, however, has to be vegetarian. We came with a more traditional idea of a rural house: ham, cheese, a beer and to sleep. The negative is in the part of the review that I liked.

Nature makes you feel alive even though it was only two days. Total relaxation.
