“Struttura stupenda... purché arriviate entro le 20!”
The structure was magnificent, with meticulous attention to detail, even though it was quite small in size, fitting the spirit of the stay. The kids’ play area was great, and the idea was praised. The check‑in experience was bizarre: we arrived from Charleroi Airport at 16:45, were told at 17:24 that we could enter on our own because the managers couldn’t be present, and we adapted. At 18:48 I was told the navigator would arrive at 20:15, no reply. At 19:07 I asked if it was okay to stop for dinner since we had two small children, no reply. A closed, unmarked road extended the travel time, and we had a quick dinner break nearby. I received a message at 22:33 that the barriers were closed and it was too late. While driving, I heard the manager’s tone and manner were rude and unwelcoming; he didn’t speak English and seemed unwilling to let us in, which I would not do with my own children. He pointed to the booked cabin with gestures, the forest was pitch dark, and it took us 15 minutes to orient ourselves with luggage and kids. I run a hospitality business and have never seen such an attitude toward guests, even when I was right. Clear communication about entry times would have helped; if they had told us we needed to be inside by 20:00, I would have gone to dinner after check‑in, or if I could enter independently, I would have done so. The next morning everything seemed fine, the extra breakfast was excellent, but when asked how the stay was, I chose not to answer. The morning staff were kind, but I started the holiday badly and regret having to write this; the property deserves better, but I left with a sour taste, wasting 185 €.
