“Great stay, amazing views”
From the instant we stepped in, the place felt genuinely special and authentic, surrounded by peaceful vineyards, historic paths, and breathtaking views that made us feel like we had escaped everyday life. What truly made the stay unforgettable was Enza and her family’s warmth: we savored traditional dishes lovingly prepared by Enza, chatted with her family, and listened to stories about the place’s history, making us feel more like guests in a home than just visitors. Those moments and conversations will stay with us. The fifteenth‑century wooden statue of San Giacomo at the entrance, with its rich history, added to the property’s uniqueness. Our room was spacious and comfortable, featuring a brand‑new bathroom decorated with lovely local tiles. Waking up to such beautiful scenery and ending the day with a sunset view was simply wonderful. We left San Giacomo with fond memories of the place, the people, the stories, the food, and the authentic Amalfi Coast vibe. ❤️
The only real difficulty was accessing the private parking: the route goes through two very narrow passages by the church, part of the protected cultural heritage. Enza had suggested renting a small car, but the rental company only offered a medium‑sized one, making it hard to navigate the passages. We were constantly worried about scratching the car, so we strongly recommend arriving with a small car if possible. Getting through those passages was nerve‑racking; I had to guide my husband twice, then we left the car and used the local bus, which was much easier for reaching busy Amalfi. The mattress could be more comfortable, but that’s a personal preference. These are small points that didn’t diminish the warmth, character, or special atmosphere of our stay.
