It was a wonderful stay; the staff were caring and made us feel at home, the surroundings were impeccably clean, the welcome was warm and family‑like, and the dining featured high‑quality fresh fish and local specialties. Thanks to Yasin, our problem‑solver, and to Assan, Dimuthu, Rana, Malati, as well as chef Min Soe and his sous‑chef, everyone was super professional and exceptionally kind.

Aire feels brand‑new and spotless, and it seems there aren’t many guests, which gives a personal service vibe. The breakfast tasted good and the fish we caught and cooked back home was very honest. It sits opposite Kiha, very close to the beach and the sunset spot. Bikes are provided for getting around, and they even have their own boat, making the overall value high. The downside is that few staff members can converse in English.

We had a wonderful stay at Aire Dharavandhoo! The hotel is beautiful, modern, and impeccably clean. Its location is simply ideal, with a reef right opposite the hotel, perfect for snorkeling. The included breakfast was excellent, and we tried the à la carte dinner once, which was delicious. The cuisine truly impressed us. Huge thanks to all the staff—friendly, attentive, and caring—who made our stay unforgettable. The hotel also organizes trips, which are very convenient; we loved the manta ray and sandbank excursion, just waiting for the rangers to confirm manta presence in Hanifaru Bay before heading out. That’s exactly why Dharavandhoo’s location is perfect. The island itself is calm, peaceful, not touristy, and easily reachable by domestic flight. In short: Aire Dharavandhoo is simply fantastic! We’d return without hesitation! A special thank you to Yaasin for everything he did for us.

Aire Dharavandhoo is a fantastic guesthouse and base for a Maldives holiday. Our room was their family suite (super-deluxe room). It was spacious and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. All the staff were welcoming, helpful and kind. Particular mentions to: Yaasin (manager) from the moment we booked to getting us off the island at the end of our holiday. He arranged domestic flights for us, and met by hotel rep at Male - as it was our first time in the Maldives that was much appreciated Chef Mynt Soe who provided the most incredible dishes (full board option). The flavours & presentation were of very high quality. We only managed a few photos as when presented the dishes looked so good we dived straight in. Housekeeper Malaati who looked after us superbly. Co-owner Hassan (‘Boss’) whose knowledge of the area and marine life was invaluable. Aire Dharavandhooo is just a few metres from the bikini beach and the long house reef. Entry to the water is easy from any of the sheltered beaches behind the protective berms, and there is abundant and varied marine life. The coral itself is best at the west end of the long house reef, beyond picnic beach. Great for snorkelling from the west tip all the way along the north shore eastwards to the harbour. We saw a wide variety of marine life including an abundance of tropical fish as well as turtles, eagle rays and very shy reef sharks. Dharavandhoo island is part of the Baa Atoll and only a short boat ride from Hanifaru Bay, a Marine Protected Area (MPA) and famous for its seasonal manta ray gatherings and whale sharks. Boat trips: hotel arranged a variety of trips for us, including manta ray trips. Only when mantas are sighted do they take you out, to maximise chances of seeing/swimming with mantas. We had 3 trips where we swam with the mantas. Being an MPA the welfare of the marine life is a priority, the number of boats/snorkellers/time in the water is strictly controlled. There were no negatives
