Everything! After two days of hiking and staying in a mountain hut, this was our treat night. It did not disappoint. The food, bed, spa, and service were unmatched, and there was nothing to dislike.

The design is exceptional and meticulous to the last detail, and the hotel’s location is in a stunning area. However, there is nothing that justifies the word “spa” as a feature of the place (no body treatments or cosmetics). The pool is small and lacks proportion for the expected number of guests.

Our stay at Mătca was simply superb — a storybook setting with spectacular design, meticulous attention to detail and a perfect vibe for unwinding; the surrounding nature enhanced the experience, the chalet was elegant, comfy and intimate, and every element from décor to service was tastefully arranged, offering a truly peaceful and beautiful escape that we’ll definitely repeat, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for a special getaway.
