“Beware - don't stay here”
We were pleased that the hotel was close to the Falls and the restaurants nearby. We booked two rooms for two nights, but when we arrived around 7 pm there was no one at the front desk; a little girl was coloring there instead. We waited 15 minutes, tried calling the online number with no answer, and a fellow guest told us the front‑desk lady was elsewhere, eventually found her outside by the second floor and she apologized before checking us in. By then we had already seen rats in the parking lot by the playground and the lobby was dirty. We almost left but we had already paid for two rooms. One room had a king bed that smelled of mildew on entry; the jacuzzi tub was dirty with black jets, the couch was broken and held together with screws, the bathrooms were tiny, the toilet was greyish/black and the tub was yellow/grey stained, the dresser had a broken piece of wood at the bottom, the TV had a black line in the middle, the headboard was scratched and covered by pillows, walls and floors were filthy, flies and mosquitoes perched on the ceiling. The second room with two queen beds had the same problems: dirty walls, bloody spots on doors and walls—perhaps from previous mosquito‑killing attempts—very dirty floors that turned my kids’ white socks black, and pubic hair in the bathtub. We bought Clorox and sprayed the toilet, sinks, walls, door handles; the mildew smell vanished after about 15 minutes of spraying and wiping.
