I love Gonubie Hotel; it holds many fond memories and the staff are lovely. I wish the deck was still open and the cash machine downstairs has disappeared.

It’s near the beach and affordable. The noise was unbearable, even after I reported it there was no change. On the second day, which was Saturday night, the noise was worse all night. I was so disappointed.

The staff and management were excellent and made you feel at home. Their restaurant is excellent, well priced, and open until 10 pm, so you can easily get something to eat or drink. The full‑house breakfast is prepared fresh daily and always hits the spot. They are busy with renovations, so some facilities like the room air‑conditioning and room safes were not working at the time, which is a risk when traveling in the off‑peak season. The management has indicated that they will finish these renovations before the next festive season (2026), so if we visit again next year they should be sorted out.
