The location and the welcoming staff are great.
“Next time elsewhere”
Breakfast is good, the guesthouse is nicely situated in downtown, near the harbour, bus stations, SMS, and a supermarket. The shower in the guesthouse is horrible, somehow integrated into the toilet; everything gets wet and ventilation is limited. The bed is poorly/uncomfortable (old springs). The TV in the room isn’t connected, basically just taking up space.
“Stay away from. Room 222 and the hotel in general”
Room 222 should be illegal to rent. It’s next to the kitchen, so you can smell everything being cooked or eaten and hear everything too. The toilet and shower are in one tiny room outside, old and worn out. There’s no A/C, only a window. But it’s right above the door to and from the hotel lobby, so it feels like sleeping in the lobby – the door is constantly slammed, people talk as if they’re in the room with you, and the floor boards squeak. It was very bad, no sleep due to the smells and constant noise. Breakfast was OK, with instant coffee. Everything else is just a bad location.
Location, staff, and breakfast are good. The beds are uncomfortable, and the room is small.
“Geld ist woanders besser aufgehoben”
The hotel sits right in the city center, which is great, but the rooms are extremely Spartan and would deserve the 'handyman' category. The walls are very thin, so the shared kitchen doubles as a living room for several households, making it impossible to sleep past late night because of the noise. There's a TV in the room, but it has no connection, so no channels or streaming. The toilet doubles as a shower without a curtain, so you end up cleaning the toilet while you shower, though you do have a seat for that.
