“Amazing stay!”
The sheets were clean, the shower was great, and check‑in was flexible. The location is very safe and close to bus stops heading to the city centre. The only downside was the coffee machine in our room wasn’t working, but that was a very minor issue.
The location was handy, just a short walk from the bus stop to the city centre, and the bed felt comfortable. However, the shower door was only half‑closed, causing water to splash onto the floor each time and forcing us to dry it with our single towel; the fridge barely worked, the room was noticeably smaller than we expected for the price, and the curtains had stains.
“Terrible”
There was nothing positive to mention; we switched hotels after just one night. The TV was non‑functional, the internet didn’t work, and the drainage produced a terrible smell.
“Mediocre and slightly disappointing.”
Communication with the property was good—very responsive and helpful. The shower pressure was great, and the building’s facade and surrounding area look lovely with a lot of potential, but the upkeep is lacking. I’m not sure which hotel those photos belong to, but it wasn’t the one I stayed in. I hadn’t read the reviews until the day of my stay, so I was nervous about what I might find. The entrance/reception smelled awful, and although I had received door and room codes well in advance, there were disgruntled patrons waiting at the main door who were clearly unhappy and not as lucky. While private rooms are offered, the layout feels more like a hostel. The biggest problem is that the place isn’t clean: hallway carpets are filthy, the room was relatively okay with a wooden laminate floor, but most surfaces had a layer of dust that made me wonder how recently it was cleaned. I uploaded a photo of the room: the sideboard/bed frame was dirty, as if it hadn’t been cleaned at all. The reading light above the bed was broken, and you could only turn on the lamp if the main lights were on, forcing you to choose between bright light or complete darkness. In an old building you’ll hear others, but the noise from the basement below the reception was unbelievable—sound travels through the building so easily that anyone walking by could be heard. Thankfully it wasn’t very busy, so it didn’t disturb me overnight, but I was shocked at how loud it was. I just needed a bed for the night and this was my cheapest option, so I managed to sleep well. Anyone booking based on the photos and description can expect a nasty surprise.
“Prima prijs kwaliteit verhouding”
The price was reasonable and parking was available at the back. Unfortunately, breakfast was not offered and there was no staff present to address the noisy guests.
