“Not what we expected. Disappointed.”

The room felt like the Amazon jungle, with humidity and mildew smell, similar to an outdated Motel 8; mold grew in the fridge, and the lamp and curtains also reeked of mold.

The place was very atmospheric and lovely in a quiet setting, and the breakfast was the best part of the trip.

The room was spotless and the showers were superb. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and my fiancé loved the bar. I didn’t like how the breakfast was over at 10 am and we arrived around 8:50 with almost no hot food left; I made a waffle, had a few pieces of bacon, and then when we finished they started bringing out more food. So if we had waited a bit longer we might have gotten more breakfast. They brought out more eggs, and then about 5–7 minutes later they brought out some bacon, cooking on what seemed like only one stove. It was a little odd. But aside from that, everything else was great.
