The rooms were spacious, but everything was broken – the shower, the drain, the tiles, etc. It was all very old.
We got exactly what we booked. We don’t understand why guests complain about a missing lift or creaky floors. If an old hotel isn’t to your taste, stay in a modern one where every room looks the same. We really enjoyed our stay. The garage spot was great, and we liked the charming garden. We were even greeted with a glass of champagne – where else do you get that? Hotel Hancelot – will definitely return!
“Katastrophal.”
Apparently our reservation hadn’t arrived, even though it had been sent. They claimed the old owner didn’t pass it on to the new one, so we were turned away. We’re filing a complaint and will have to pay the relocation costs.
“Ótima opção para o inverno.”
The room was comfortable and stylish, with disposable flip‑flops, coffee and tea in the room. The air conditioning was very noisy.
“Tired room in need of upgrade, delapidation masquerading as historic”
The hotel was close to public transport and the city centre, staff were friendly, the shower pressure was good and the bed was comfortable. The reception closed at 7:30 pm, the Wi‑Fi code didn’t work, and the room’s “historical retro deco” was a lie – it was poorly decorated, mould in the shower, peeling paint and wallpaper in the bathroom and bedroom, a broken window, a wobbly bedside table, extension cords, a musty wardrobe, a mattress sheet that didn’t fit. It was warm in September, so I slept with the window open and was woken by children heading to school, as the back of the building faces a playground.
