“Great break”
The place was friendly, close to the beach, and the breakfast was great—nothing else to note.

The owner and staff were very pleasant and gave the best possible service! The hotel sits almost on the beach, just a few meters away, but you have to cross the railway tracks. The train runs right next to the hotel, so the noise when the trains come is deafening but also a bit fun to watch.

We stayed two nights in room #1 on the second floor with an ocean view—probably the best room. The air conditioner works, but the fan above the bed was left off. There’s a wardrobe and a fridge, which is rare for Sri Lanka. The room had no glasses, but they were kindly provided, and they also brought an insect coil for pleasant evenings on the veranda. A railway line runs right in front of the hotel; we slept soundly, and the beautiful train photos were a bonus. For the price, it’s a good hotel! The ocean view from the window and the free beach loungers are great. The standard breakfast is very tasty, with the freshest fruits; the owner personally goes to the farm to buy them. The hotel has a doctor who offers massage services. The city of Bentota is 5‑10 minutes away depending on where you need to go (tuk‑tuk costs 200‑400 rupees). The warm and wonderful staff helped with everything—from calling taxis and tuk‑tuks to delivering and arranging fresh fruit, and just pleasant conversation! Thanks to all the staff and our new friend Chamod🤗. We recommend it ❤️. If you look for flaws, you can find them anywhere; it all depends on your perception.
