How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.

Amazing, calm, and beautiful spot yet still close to everything; great base for hikes, good breakfast, super friendly staff, comfy tent, slept well, good laundry service, would definitely return. You can hear dogs barking in the distance, even at night, but it didn’t bother me much, and the tent zipper was a bit annoying.

I planned to stay only 2 nights but ended up staying 12; Nadeera, her brother, and her father are extraordinary, always available, welcoming, and lovely, answering all questions and trying to say yes to everything I asked. The view from the tent is simply amazing, and the breakfast view is equally beautiful. We’re in nature, in a truly peaceful spot, only 10 minutes from the town and about 15 minutes on foot from the famous Nine Arches Bridge. The food and cocktails are excellent, with produce straight from the garden, and the prices are really very affordable. Bonus for train lovers: the famous Sri Lankan train, very popular with travelers, passes right in front of the accommodation 2–3 times a day. It’s truly a unique place to enjoy nature and the vibe of Ella. Thanks again to Nadeera, her brother, and her father for their hospitality and kindness. I highly recommend this place, and if I return to Ella, I’ll definitely come back here!

“chill,beautiful,friendly”

The spot was super quiet, and from the tent you could watch the sunset over the mountains—an absolutely amazing experience, and the staff were incredibly friendly.

“lovely hidden tent stay in ella !”

I had an amazing stay here! The campsite is simple, peaceful, and feels like home, with a gorgeous mountain view and a lovely garden. Camping overnight in a tent was a unique experience, and I was lucky to see a beautiful sunset from the property. The trains passing by added a nice touch. The hospitality really stood out; Pamod, a young boy, was incredibly kind and helpful, guiding me from Ella Station, showing me the campsite, and even helping me reach the pickup point when I left. The family was welcoming, and I appreciated the watermelon welcome drink! They also have lovely dogs, good food, laundry facilities, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The only downside is that staying in a tent means you can hear a lot of outside noise, especially the dogs barking from further down the mountain at night. Bring earbuds if you’re a light sleeper.
