“Excellent value and a remarkably good breakfast.”
The staff were very helpful. When we arrived the beds hadn’t been set up as we’d requested, but the issue was fixed right away and we received a free cup of tea while we waited. The food was excellent and the room was very comfortable. The accommodation was rather basic, but there were no complaints because the price was very reasonable. The furniture was a bit shabby, yet everything seemed very clean, so no further complaints.
The service was great, the staff were lovely, and the room was excellent; I would highly recommend it. Nothing was bad.
“Short stay as we were visiting some National Trust properties in the area. The BA is very comfortable and has a great res”
I stayed at a spot that was super comfy and right next to Oxburgh Hall, which was perfect for my plans – no complaints at all.
“Good room rate but expensive restaurant”
The location was nice and peaceful, and the room price I paid was decent. The pillows were terrible and caused a bad back. The restaurant was a bit too pricey, £21 for a fairly small piece of battered fish, and the desserts were similarly overpriced; I almost tried the chocolate tort but saw someone else eating it who clearly needed a hacksaw instead of cutlery, so I declined.
“Oxborough revisit.”
The location was great, the rooms were clean and on the ground‑floor annex, which was perfect for my frail 91‑year‑old father. The beds were comfortable with a decent shower. The lunch and dinner menus were varied and the food quality was high. Overall, the ambience was lovely and calm, and the residents were all well‑behaved. It was nice and quiet at night. The breakfast waiter was late, clearly overslept and hungover, and he burned the bacon so it was served up cremated.
