I loved how unique the hotel’s design was and the staff were very friendly. It was a bit noisy at night, but that wasn’t too bad.

The scenery and the property’s protection were nice. I had to wait 30‑40 minutes upon arrival and still had to wait to check in. I was told I’d been upgraded to a higher level, but the view was just a building alley and I didn’t see much, which was disappointing.

The spot’s right off Michigan Avenue near Millennium Park, handy for downtown and getting on CTA/Metra, but everything else was rough. You had to check yourself in, set up your own room key, and everything in the room was controlled by an iPad. The TV never worked, the beds were firm, and on our king we only got two pillows, about half what we expected. Street noise was nonstop—at 6:30 am on a Saturday we were woken by buckets banging and random jazz outside. The rooms were tiny, the mini fridge wasn’t cold, and it took ages for the room to cool down. I won’t be back here.
