“Sejour dans un motel vieillot”
A small motel in John Day, a bit old-fashioned but kept clean. The shower was the only issue.

The location was fine. The motel is very old; towels and sheets were worn, the room looked clean, walls were thin, and you could hear people on either side of us.

The bed was comfortable, shower pressure was great, staff were very nice and the place was super clean.

Check‑in was friendly and the room was cleaned well. The motel is very old and dated with worn mattresses and shabby bedding; the pillows were unacceptable. The bathroom, especially the shower/bathtub, was a disaster—an urgent full renovation is needed. Paying over 150 USD for a one‑night stay in such an old room feels like a bad joke.

The place has everything you need for a solo overnight stay; it’s not a luxury resort and has no kid‑friendly amenities beyond a bed and TV. It’s located right behind Outpost Pizza, which serves amazing pizza. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with any questions. The room was basic—just a bed, TV, and bathroom—convenient for a quick sleep while passing through town, but I felt it was a bit pricey for such a basic room.
