I stayed in a centrally located, very spacious family room that had a lot of charm.

The location was perfect, right in the heart of Neuchâtel. The loft on the roof was large and included a small kitchenette, and the self‑service check‑in worked smoothly. However, the room was somewhat dusty, and the stairwell needed maintenance: the support strap on the steep spiral staircase had come off, and a bulb in the lamp socket was broken.

The place is centrally located, and I received the check‑in information early and it was easy to understand. The kitchen was well equipped and the rooms were a good size, and there was coffee in the coffee machine. On the downside, we booked two rooms; in one the coffee machine didn’t work because it needed descaling and couldn’t be skipped. We never received the tourist card even after asking again, which was a pity because public transport would have been free.

They cancelled my room 30 minutes before I arrived because of a supposed reservation problem. I only got a message, no compensation, no solution, nothing. Shame.
