The spot was gorgeous with water views and perfect sunset watching. Rooms were roomy, comfy, and came with loungewear for use on the property. You could book the hot baths, karaoke, and more, but only once a day per guest. The staff were very friendly and attentive to guests. We missed the bus one day and they were very concerned, making sure nothing had happened that caused us to miss the shuttle. As an American, I’m used to softer beds, and this resort was no different—my companions didn’t mind, but it bothered my hips as a side sleeper. We didn’t pick the full food package because we wanted to try local restaurants, but most open only at 10 or 11 am and taxis are scarce in Toba, so we walked a lot and stayed at the hotel one night, skipping dinner because of the long walk to food options. The hotel did offer a basic curry, snacks, and a few alcoholic drinks in the evenings that kept us fed.

The hotel had a quiet, relaxing vibe. The staff were neither too close nor too distant, which was good. Meals were served in reasonable portions at good times. We drove to the hotel, but the entrance was a bit confusing and the toothbrush was awkward to use.

I thought I could eat sea bass, but it didn’t show up.

The view from the restaurant was great, and the dinner was booked afterward; it was a bit pricey, but the dishes were very good. The open‑bar offered low‑quality alcohol. The wine at dinner (127 € for two) was like cafeteria fare. Breakfast had a limited selection. The lobby and bar music was unbearable.
