How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The place was clean. I felt we overpaid for the room; being placed in a back alley at ground level where anyone passing could look in the window forced us to keep the curtains drawn in the middle of the day. It was our 10th night at a Marriott in just over 14 months, and this one was the most disappointing.

The location is absolutely amazing! Located in the center and just 14 minutes from Edinburgh Waverley Train Station. The room was spacious, the AC was working well, and we had a lot of complementary coffee in the room. The restaurant and reception staff were absolutely amazing, very helpful, and friendly. Few things that can be changed: 1- The bed had a hole or was broken and the pillows aren’t comfy at all 2- The bathroom had black mold on it 3- When I checked in my room, there were tissues in the bathroom seat 4- There was no toiletries, or slippers in the room

The location is spot on, only a 10 minute stroll to the Royal Mile, which was a huge plus. The food was genuinely tasty, but the evening menu felt too narrow; on our final night we had to leave the hotel for dinner even though we weren’t keen on doing so because there were no more options left.
