“It was acceptable”
Being close to the event was a win, but the pool was a real let‑down – the water was cloudy and filthy.

It was a passable place for a night’s stay, and the online check‑in worked great, yet the building felt rundown: the elevator was grimy, the hallway carpet looked unwashed for years, the room was dim with almost no light, a shaky lamp in the corner we couldn’t turn on, a toilet‑paper holder on the verge of falling, and towels were hard to spot. Overall it was okay, but I’d skip it if I could find something better. We booked it for a concert at the state fair and brought our dog; availability was tight that season.

The proximity to the highway was exactly what we needed, but the property was dirty—corridors and the main level were untidy when we arrived.

Breakfast lived up to my expectations, though a couple more waffle makers would help; the single unit they have was always in a long queue.

The staff were super friendly and the check‑in/out ran smoothly, plus the amenities were nice, but parking felt awkward and the main‑road barrier made entry and exit a hassle; a quick map for the easiest route would be useful.
