Nothing! I ordered a room based on the photos and reviews, but I was shocked: the pictures show a tidy, clean space, yet the reality was dirty and old. The building itself is aged and filthy; stepping into the entrance you encounter local homeless people. Inside the room, space is scarce—two people and a suitcase barely fit. The view from the window faces an inner courtyard of size 1/1 that stinks, is dirty, and moldy. The bathroom, if you can call it that, is also tiny and grimy. After seeing all this, we had to book another hotel and were insulted when we requested a partial refund; they refused. Interestingly, the other hotel was 40% cheaper, yet its rooms were spacious and clean—definitely my worst experience.

The location was great, close to the Colosseum and many restaurants, but the unit lacked natural light and the entrance was underwhelming.

The hotel’s location was very close to the Colosseum and the metro, and the owner was extremely helpful throughout our stay.

The location was great, but the overall condition of the courtyard and the interior of the block was like a horror movie. We chose the place partly because it had a balcony, yet we never went out onto it. Inside the block there was no service: only two rolls of toilet paper for four days and nobody thought to replenish them; no hygiene items at all—no small shower gel, no shampoo, no other toiletries. The coffee maker was also protective.

I stayed in the city center, just a few minutes on foot from the college. The place was new, spotless, and I had good communication with the owner. I can only recommend it :) I couldn’t get used to the bed, but my partner was satisfied, so maybe it’s just me.
