“Esperienza fantastica e consigliata ma pulizia da migliorare”
The owner was super kind and helpful, prepared lunch and dinner for both days of our stay, and helped arrange both the safari to Minnerya and the tuk-tuk to Pituranga Rock at dawn. Overall it was a positive experience, especially because we got to live a 100% typical and not touristy experience. The location was a bit off‑center and hard to reach without a tuk-tuk, the internet didn’t work, and the cleaning wasn’t quite top.
“Rigtig godt til prisen”
Amazing breakfast and truly sweet, kind people.
The surroundings were beautiful and incredibly peaceful, and Kanti and her family welcomed us warmly; Kanti cooked many delicious meals and her husband offered to drive us in a Tuk Tuk, saving us the hassle of arranging transport. Just be wary of Tuk Tuk drivers in Sigiriya centre or tourist spots who demand very high prices—negotiate. The room was pleasant, air‑conditioned but rarely needed, had mosquito nets on the bed, and a nice balcony. The WIFI was non‑functional due to an issue, though I understand WIFI is usually available.
Good but rustic; ask for the price of dishes beforehand even though they’re very good. A bit isolated but full of charm and a lovely family.
The host was friendly and even taught us how to cook a Sri Lankan dish; the food itself was outstanding.
